And guys, this is not one of those mushy stories about being happy dappy, holding hands through football games on the sofa. Life would be horrible without sports. My husband and I are season ticket holders for 2 different local sports teams and I love going to the games and then going home to watch the TiVO of the game and then the replay on SportsCenter. A Sunday isn't a Sunday without Boomer and TJ and Monday isn't Monday unless someone is JackedUp. Where would we be in March without the Madness? It is probably the only time any of us do math without a calculator any more. I don't understand why most women say they hate sports or hate the fact that men love sports. It's a place for women to hit common ground with men especially when, from what I understand, good ones are hard to find. I think it would be a lot easier to coexist if hate and sports weren't used so much in the same sentence. By the way, I doubt that there were many complaints when the mortgages were signed for the square footage of those homes, one of which accommodated the 90+" television and stadium seating. Do these women not have lives of their own? How pathetic and how embarrassing to see women in this day and age attempting to control 3+ hour time slots out of their husband's days. Thank you.

Are you in a love triangle with a sports fan?

Those are all nice men and husbands thqat are not out at bars chasing women...

Are you in a love triangle with a sports fan?

Let's give these men and many other husbands and fathers who STAY HOME to watch their favorite football teams play on Sunday, Monday, some Thursdays and Saturdays credit for being there and not at the bar! Husband Head and all the other guys are only asking that their wives and families give them a little time to be a guy. I think the wives in the show were awesome women, too. I'm sure there are other women out there who understand their men in the same way these ladies did. As far as I'm concerned, Dateline proved that men, women, marriage and football can coexist in many homes in America.

Are you in a love triangle with a sports fan?

J. I don't feel three hours on a Sunday afternoon is too much for a husband (or wife, for that matter) to ask NOT to be interrupted. All of those wives knew before they married these men the intensity of their involvement with their teams and football. In my house, as soon as the Giants release their schedule, I write the dates and times on the calendar so NOTHING is scheduled to interfere with my husband's football time. Three hours a week, for about five months. It's really not a big thing to do to make someone happy. It's actually become a fun family affair over the last 24 years (as long as no one moves from the spot they're in when the Giants are doing well!)

Are you in a love triangle with a sports fan?

I'm an Indianapolis Colts fan. I find this quite amazing. The complaining about who is watching what and ignoring who is hilarious if not down right disturbing.
These people should be thankful they have someone with them. Football season is once a year, but shopping, hair appts, household chores, etc. is continuous. Has anyone ever heard of "me time", or "wind down" time? People have to give themselves abit of this at times to be able to share with others and cope with things.
I am not a big sports fan but would not dare interfere with my guy's sports or CNN. Why?, because that is "his" time. He does not dare interfere with my "me time" of watching favorite programs, etc. Then we have our "we" time amongst all this. It's that whole balance thing in relationships. A person is not suppose to lose "themsleves" in relationships, rather they are to evolve.
The only obessession I see from all this is the selfeshness of those people not wanting to share. Which by the way should have been taught and absorbed during the preschool years.
You know football season or certain events are coming up and holds some degree of importantance to someone in the relationship if not both of you, PLAN AROUND IT! Compromise for the sake harmony in the long run.
Ever think about those little things that start off being just that, "little" and grow to something disasterous over time? This is how the term "resentment" becomes overrated. Being too selfish can lead to being ALONE!
Life is too short for this foolishness.

Are you in a love triangle with a sports fan?

As a woman who LOVES football, I think women who hav a problem with their husbands and sports, should try to learn the game and enjoy it with their husbands or find something else to do during the season. You know Dateline produces, there is a war going on, along with a downturning economy, crumbling housing market, shaky job market, oh yeah and that pesky violent crime rate in so many cities. What a waste!!

Are you in a love triangle with a sports fan?

I love Football maybe even a little more than my husband. I am exactly the same way. But I go into it even further because I'm a NCAA & NFL fan so I'm like this All weekend.I go thru withdrawal symptoms after football season is over and watch the NFL network 365 days a year because thats how addicted I am. And don't even ask me to go anywhere during the weekend of the NFL Draft, that's a No, No!! My husband loves the fact that we can watch the games together, talk trash to each other about the other person's team, and go to sleep every night not watching the local news but our beloved Sportscenter & NFL Total Access. Come on Ladies and learn the game watch it with your husbands. These videos were so low-key compared to me, and I'm the wife.

Are you in a love triangle with a sports fan?

These videos don't make the guys look bad...they make the women look like unreasonable, inconsiderate people. We all have topics/shows about which we ar passionate. At least football is on once a week!!!! If my husband asked me to take the trash out during an Eagles game, I'd have quite a few expletives in store.

Are you in a love triangle with a sports fan?

ok what about the women who are more obsessed with football than their man is? It's 16 games a year unless your team makes the playoffs.I don't even get to watch all 16 and often times end up hearing it on the radio if I'm lucky. I watch very little TV and am entitled to watch some football....
Lets do one of the wives, watching Fran in the morning and so on.
I have very few hobby's and Football is the only good pro sport left. So my wife can chill out if she gets upset me watching the Ravens. Shesh.
