I was very excited about this interview and enjoyed it very much...Ms. Rowling is a lovely person! My oldest son finished the book last night and I this morning (just in time). We used our DVR to tape the show so that my husband and son could watch it when they finish the book! Your show reminded me of the days when I couldn't wait for "The Wonderful World of Disney" to show on a Sunday night...what a great way to complete our reading! Great show!!!

I loved this interview! My friends and I are HUGE Harry Potter friends, and we were just little children when the first book came out, so Harry has been something that was there for us since the very begining. Its that one thing we knew was always there. I remember when we felt like things weren't going our way, we'd pull out our favorite wizard to remind us there was something we could always count on being there. The books were the cause of many of our conversations, arguments and thoughts! We can't believe its really over!

I am a 77 year old nana whose grandaughter introduced her to Harry Potter. We both have read the whole series and love to discuss it and get each other's point of view. J.K. Rowling has a wonderful imagination and and also the ability to put it on paper. Each book has been tough to put down once you start it, but then when you are getting to the end you want to slow your reading pace so that the book will last a longer time. I think I enjoyed this 7th book almost the best, but there again, I loved them all. I also wish I could write.

I am to a single mother and knows the struggle of everyday life. J.K. Rowlings give me hope that anything is possible and with persistence and detemination, I too can overcome. I have never read any of the Harry Potter books, but am interested in the whole series and sharing it with my 8 year old daughter. I can't afford to buy any of them.

I just want to say that HP is indeed the most exciting book I've ever read. The characters are all great and the story affected me even on a personal level. I did love the idea of having to look forward to the next installment but now its finally over. I must confess some things in the last book didn't end in the way I want it to but J.K. pulled it off wonderfully.The twists and the secrets all fit masterfully. It's sad it has to end but it's been a great journey. The story and the characters will stay with me all my life. I will never forget the sleepless nights and nervous, hanging anticipation I got with reading all of the books. No other book gave me that kind of experience...THANKS J.K.!!!!!!

This was a great series! I started reading the first book in a book store. After I finished the first book in a few hours, my son was shocked. He thought it was a kiddie book. Of course, he then did the same thing. We both continued all the way to the end. We both had to buy #7, since we both wanted to read it right away. I was in line at WalMart at midnight when the book came out. It was a really an experience for a 50+. My son was shocked that I went out at that hour. He was also out with his college friends getting copies of the book. What a wonderful series. I can't wait to read anything that J.K. Rowling writes. She is awesome.

I have to admit I was a major doubter of Harry Potter. I did not think that the books were good and never read them until after I watched the fourth movie. Then I read ALL the books and waited in line with my friends at midnight for the seventh. I read it in one and a half days! It was glorious. Thank you for such a wonderful series. i thought the HP books were just for kids until my sisiter forced me to read the first on. i expected to read the first chapter and hand it back to her with general groans of immature childish nonsence. HOW WRONG WAS I? Wonderful, intricate, creative, superb and many more adjectives that can just begin to describe the splender that is the Harry Potter universe. Yes i dressed up as A wizard for the release of the last book and even had a broomstic to boot! Shame it's over now, although too much of a good thing and all that.

i haven't read any of the potter books or seen any of the movies. i just really got interested with all the hype about the seventh book. i'd like to ask the author one question. if the books brought so many people back to reading and families together (a mother of fifty and a son of seventeen both standing in lines at different stores just to get the last book) why did she have to end the books? why not keep the books going. like come out with a new one at longer intervals. hopefully she will write another book and series that will have the same re-action to people as this one did. having said that i think i will go to the store and start to read the books and after each book i will watch each movie. its been a long time since i've read a book that i couldn't put down. i love a book that you can actually feel that you actually feel like your in the places that the writer writes about.

I'm 54, my son 30 this year.We have grown together reading this book. He lives In Phoenix now but with each book and movie we talk several times a day about what has happen and what we think. I bought the first book for my grandson, and since I never give any book to a child that I haven't read first to assure myself of the content, I consumed it in a matter of hours. I have looked forward to each and every consecutive book (and movie) since. I have bought 2 copies of each book so that I could read them at the same time as my grandson. I first learned about Harry Potter from an attorney who was on the same plane I was on to Boston. Ever since, I have been hooked. Once started, I could not put the books down. I read them day and night-long.
I am saddened that the series is over, but glad I got to read about it.
Just thinking about the magic you have shared with us, your readers, in Harry Potter brings me to tears! You have really touched a lot of people's lives and have changed what people think about children's novels. I do pray that someday, very soon Harry Potter will be a classic. I am a 38 year old mother with a 12 year old daughter. My daughter was introduced to the Harry Potter world in 3rd grade. After she read the first two books, she told me that I 'had' to read them. I wasn't interested, thinking it's for children and below my level of reading. Then after she read the 3rd one, she was telling me I 'had' to read it. I still waited and she completed the 4th book. I saw the first 2 movies and enjoyed them. So, knowing the books are always better, I finally picked them up. I read books 1-5 in 6 weeks. I couldn't put them down. Then we went to the book releases for book 6 & 7 and this series has been the best we've ever read. Thank you Jo for the most wonderful books and for bringing my daughter and I together in a world we could discuss for hours. You're awesome and I wish you the best in your future stories!

The Harry Potter Series ARE THE BEST EVER!!!!! Seriously I love them all and I have read them all in order from 1-7 about 17 times! Every time I read them they never get repetitive and always are so interesting and funny to read. An era has come to an end. What an end it was! My son would not have learned to read if it hadn't been for his passion for the wizarding world. He would read the book and listen to the cassettes. It worked great. Since the first, we have been to every local event for all the books and the movies. My son and I, and everyone I know are great fans.
