It is my opinion, Diana would be quite proud of her boys, including their follies. The boys seem to be every bit, NORMAL young men. The lessons Diana tried to impart to her boys obviously paid off. It should also be noted that the boys did not fall of the deep end during the last ten years under the guidance of their father, Prince Charles. Both parents did something right and should be extremely proud.

When assessing the lives of the royals, you must realize that they are NOT just any wealthy and affluent people. They are raised and bred for service to their nation. For us, we have the ability to pick and choose our professions, just as minor royals world wide are doing. However, William and Harry didn't have that option, and Diana wanted to make sure they knew that they were privledged.

Their lives are rough. Their relationships and friendships are rough. All of this is because of the role they play in their government, their society, and our entertainment. As we all know, money cannot cure everything.

Producer Joe Delmonico: you started this assignment thinking what most believe to be true about the princes and their family. But, for everyone who reads these words, ask yourselves this: "Would I ever trade places with them?" I believe it safe to say that most would say "no" because, deep down, the 'emotional baggage' and the stress they endure is much more than we can imagine.

I am not at all surprised by the earthiness of the Princes. Their mother loved them and never restrained herself from demonstrating the fact, unlike the Queen shaking Charles' tiny hand after returning from a trip. As I watched the interview, I thought, as the mother of grown children myself, I'm sure Diana would be very proud of the young men her sons have become. She gave them good values, and it took. That's all we can ask as parents.

As for Harry's 'mistakes' as a teen - most teens go through things similar. It's a part of growing up and finding your own way. Most don't have to grow up in front of the whole world. They shouldn't either. Their private lives are none of our business. I don't care who they are. They are still human beings.

That was an interview for the decades! We all remember too well what the boys looked like when they walked behind the hearse draped in a royal standard. Since then, we have been treated to so many stories about them without themselves talking directly to us. Now they have opened to the public, we realize how they wish to have things the normal way while, like anyone else, they enjoy their privileges. Losing their mother at such a tender age is harrowing enough. Being subjected to media scrutiny and so often in such an unfair way is simply overwhelming. Ever since Diana's death, I have been praying for them. Because I wondered, who will love them and raise them the way she would have. I felt this overwhelming grief for their loss. And I was saddened because I thought they wouldn't become the men she worked so hard for them become. But I was wrong, although they were quite young when she passed away, they payed close attention to everything she taught them. Although the media will not let her rest in peace, they have done the princes a favor, by keeping their mom alive to them, which is a constant reminder of who she was to them. They are wonderful and intelligent young men, whom I think, their mom, and any other mom, would be extremely proud and blessed to have as sons.

I think that the interview was amazing. It showed that these two young men, even though they are royalty, have normal emotions, experiences and dreams. Sometimes, I don't understand why the press wants to focus on the negative, look at the legacy that the late princess left behind. I think given the chance and the much needed freedom, they would do far greater things than there mother. I am a grandmother helping to raise two young grandchildren, a boy and a girl, after the death of their mother, my daughter. I am always looking for role models for my grandchildren, young people with positive attitudes who have grown up under difficult circumstances. Prince William and Prince Harry are absolutely great role models! Personally, I know that they will never completely overcome their loss, but they have certainly found a way to carry on the memory of their mother in a very positive way. I admire that very much, and I will definitely expose my grandchildren to their wonderful example!
