7:55 p.m.
Meet a the guy who thinks he’s about to get away it, at least for a few minutes. Mohamed Abdalla walks into our hidden camera house oozing with confidence. Notice how relaxed he is talking with our actress posing as a young teen home alone. Even when I walk out to talk to him, he’s got his story all set and he’s sticking to it.

Abdalla tells me that he’s in real estate and was driving through our area to check on a piece of property he owns. Along the way he notices that the space shuttle is blasting off from nearby Cape Kennedy and pulls over his car to watch. Just a short while earlier, we too had watch the spectacular nighttime launch.

What Abdalla isn’t prepared for is that I have not only the transcripts of his sexually explicit conversation with a decoy posing as a 13-old-girl, but also naked photos of himself that he sent online. How do we know it is Abdalla in the photos? As you’re about to see, a unique piece of jewelry in the picture matches one that is hanging around the 34-year-old man’s neck. So much for the clever story.

8:16 p.m.
In a moment you’re going to meet a 22-year-old college student and chemistry teacher named Deepak Bist. This guy drove four hours to get here and after reading his online chat with a decoy who said she was 13, I am wondering what he was thinking about during that long car ride. I guess you could argue that all of these guys should know better, but Bist actually talks about our investigations during his chat. He even tells the decoy he’s watched Dateline’s “To Catch A Predator” the evening before his chat. This doesn’t seem to stop him from bringing a virtual sex kit to his underage liaison.

8:33 p.m.
We may be shooting in Florida, but on this night it is windy and cold. That doesn’t stop a 24-year-old amateur boxer named David Wagner from showing up to meet a 13-year-old girl. The boxer starts to leave when he sees me walk into the room. But watch as he decides to come back and answer some questions. He asks me if this is an “open house” as if he were shopping for real estate. It’s an open house all right…one in which 21 men would show up during four days last December.

8:46 p.m.
Towards the end of tonight’s show, you’re going to see a potential predator try to meet a teen in a location besides our hidden camera house. This is a challenge both logistically and technically. We set up several hidden cameras on the beach across the street from our house. The idea is to have a potential predator meet our decoy on the boardwalk connecting A1A and the beach. As you watch our next guest show up, see if you can figure out where we’ve hidden our cameras and where the Flagler Beach Police are hiding before the arrest.

8:57 p.m.
Next week, we tell you exactly where everything and everyone was and you’ll see what happens when a member of law enforcement shows up in our investigation. It’s an officer who may have more firepower than the Flagler Beach officers working in this investigation.

Enough already! I'm a fan of the show, and yes these pathetic people who prey on children should be behind bars, but if you want to do a weekly on this, rename the show to "to catch a predator". It's time to start reporting on something else, or have you lost the creative people who brought us stories in the past?
"To Catch a Predator" used to provide a public service by actually catching real predators. Now, because of the exposure, Dateline is now creating the so-called predators. The problem is that there are now guys out there watching the program and thinking, "They must be going through all this trouble because there are a lot of horny virgin teenagers out there who want to have relations with someone two, three or four times their own age!" They go looking, but the truth of the matter is, those teenagers are not out there. I'd be willing to bet that if Dateline were to search for those teenagers, all they would find is a bunch of decoys, but not one person who is actually telling the truth. Dateline should put up a disclaimer saying, "Don't try to find kids on-line. They're not out there and if you do find one, it's probably a sting operation." Real predators do not need the internet to find their victims. Dateline should give this series a rest.
Oops the first message went through with nothing. I love this series. Keep up the good work to get these sick perverts off the streets!
Hello, I was wondering how you choose the towns for this series? I think it would be interesting to see a different perspective - a small, rural town in northern Minnesota. I think your series is very informative and eye-opening. Thank you for consideration.
awesome show...keep these psychos off the street
Do we need to talk about oral sex at 7:00 p.m.? We were eating dinner...Entertainment Tonight was on...and suddenly Oral Sex. I have a 9 yr. old watching...NOT APPROPRIATE
Chris, I'm REALLY concerned about how close you are allowing these "potential predators" get to the perverted justice person. If these people are so dangerous, why would you allow them to get into such close proximity with the actor/actress. Especially the ones at the beach. Someone, in an instant, could hurt the actress or even worse, grab her and hold her hostage when you come out of hiding. Once they realize what situation they're in, they might not care for their own life anymore. So what would stop them? I'd like to see the show go back to when all the actress did was wave them in. It has to be safer.
Thank you Chris, our children are a little safer because of you and NBC. DON'T STOP we need more concerned journalist like you! Florida can not thank you enough.....
Keep up the great work Chris... to many sickos out there.. im sure this is a needle in the haystack to what is really going on.. but keep it going maybe some of this will stop
It's frightening to think how incredibly calm these perpetrators become once confronted! Keep up the good work, Chris!
It just amazes me that these perverts keep coming out of the woodwork, even after multiple dateline episodes catching these creeps. I have an eleven year old daughter and my blood runs cold thinking that these kind of people live in the same world as us.
Chris Hanson, a question for you: Are you ever concerned with your personal safety during these stings? It seems one of these guys could pull a weapon on you pretty quick.
This is a very interesting investigation, but I would like to see how the family of these men feel once they are aware of what is going on. If you can by any chance get their input on this that would be great. As well these men really need some help.
Have you considered doing a dateline that investigates the psychology/pathology or possible explanations for why this sort of behavior runs rampant? I'm just awestruck by how easy it seems to be to fish for these sickos...but I'm curious as to what the systemic causes are and if they might point to a broader "cure."
hey I would love to help be apart of the catch a predator especially around my area..im 21 but look like im 14-15 if there is anything i can do to be apart of it please let me know. I love the show very much.
I am addicted!
I appreciate that your getting the perverts off the streets but geez your on at 7:00 P.M. A little early don't you think?
I also want to commend Dateline on this 'To Catch a Predator' series. Keep up the great work!
I'm amazed that there are still men foolish enough to get busted after your program has been on for quite a while. I have no sympathy for them what so ever, except that their wives and children have to live the shame of this the rest of their lives.
You are doing a good job.Keep up the good work.
thats it dont publish in theis blog anything that contradicts you. thats free press for ya. hah
Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Keep up the good work. i hope you go all around the world to catch hese predators. And send the so-called Muslim back to his country, he gives us good muslims a bad name. Never, Never, stop your work. The sad thing is that it is needed in these days and times. ??? Will you guys work in the Delaware Valley area?
I am very disturbed by the number of Middle Eastern men that show up at your decoy houses. Has there been any deportations? Do they think it's ok? In this day and time you would think they would be more careful, America is very cautious of these people right now.
You are doing a good job.Keep up the good work.
I love your series on tv, I wish To catch a Predator was on twice a week. Chris is so calm and professional, I love his entrance after the decoy leaves the room. Excellent show!
I find it very interesting that these men are so very interested in minor girls. How disgusting!!! Thank you for this seris, without it some parents wouldn't even know men like these exists!!
Chris you are doing a great job,, exposing these predators....... You have great courage to confront them...... and I hope you continue doing your job... Thanks from a concerned parent of four from New York..
Chris, you and your crew have done a phenomenal job. Keep up the good work. I wish the legal side could follow throug though. I think the men on your show should get death penalty for what they have done to these children.
I had a jack Russell that had a "micro-chip" tracker implant. The point of course is to track him if he got lost. It occurred to me, we should be able to track these "animals" like any of us track our lost pets. They won't volunteer address change information and we shouldn't risk our kids any longer. I think the tax payers would be willing to contribute to mandatory tracking device implant or life in prison, I know I absolutely would sign up for that!
I appreciate your getting th eperverts off the streets but geez your on a little early 7:00 P.M.don't you think??
Chris- I have 6 children myself, ages 22 to 9 years old. I have been married 23 years. This has always bothered me with how these undercover police and decoys on the internet have trapped these so called perverts. I really wonder how many of these setup people are perverts and predators themselves. I bet you would really be suprised if you truly knew how many perverts and predators were actually working with yourself and other police agencies throughout the US. Thank you.
THIS SHOW IS RIDICULOUS, THE UNDERAGE GIRLS THAT GIVE THEIR INFORMATION OUT TO THE GUYS, IT IS THEIR OWN FAULT, IF THEIR PARENTS DO NOT MONITOR THEIR WEB USE THEN IT IS THEIR FAULT ALSO THESE MEN MAY BE WRONG BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE BROADCAST ON TELEVISION... THE MEN MAY BE DOING WRONG BUT YOU PEOPLE ARE WRONG ALSO FOR SETTING THEM UP, IF YOUNG GIRLS WANT TO BE STUPID AND GIVE THEIR INFO OUT ON THE NET IT IS THEIR OWN FAULT AND THEIR PARENTS FOR NOT WATCHING THEM CLOSER !!!
I think the To Catch Predator Series is great. I hope you keep catching these perverts. I'd like to know what happens to these guys when they get home & what their famalies have to say. I am very surprised that there are so many foreign men that do this. Keep up the good work. Will you ever come to Canada? Thanks Sue (Canadian resident)
I would like to know how many of these preditors are taking Viagra or other mood enhancing drugs?
I can't thank Chris Hansen or nbc enough for show, it is the best thank you for doing what you do!!!!!!!
Hi Chris, I am a big fan of your show and am actually going through a similar experience like the experiences on the show. My roommate has an online "boyfriend" who is 32, we are 20 years old. He lives in New York and has never met my roommate. She is having him come to Mankato, MN to our apartment over our college spring break. I am going to be in the apartment over spring break and am feeling very threatened and scared to have him come because he could be completely different than what his "profile" says. What are your opinions and advice for this situation? I would love some feedback.
I'm glad that this series is continuing(sp). As an uncle with 15 nieces and nephews, the thought that someone could do this to one of my kids would just kill me.Thank you for all you do, and a program that doesn't mention Anna Nicole is refreshing!!
On to catch a pedator Did that Dori person ever get time - I think it is sick what these people do I think it great what CHris Hansen does to catch these sick people
As a young child i had been sexually abused by men who where 20yrs to 30yrs older then me... i was happy when i saw that your show was getting those predators off the street i was wondering is there anything i can do to help...
Amazed at the show, love it, one question though do any women chat on line and come to the homes or is it 100% Men.
I really like your show but, as a parent in seeing that its 8:00 here. I think that your show is getting a little to rated "R" with the language. You really need to go into detail with the predators emails or ims. its gross and we know that they are talking nasty, but we do not need to hear it in full details. I DO NOT feel its appropriate. I just heard he was talking about preforming oral sex on her. and if she was a virgin and spreeding her legs wide. THIS IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR 8:00 TV TIME SLOT.Keep the show a little cleaning, with getting the message across
Chris, I moved to Jacksonville, Fl one year ago and am amazed with the amount of sexual predators in this area. I give the utmost praise to the show and yourself for what you do. I actually wish the show was on more often as a possible deterent to these monsters that prey on our children. Thank you, from parents all across the country. We are truly lucky to have Dateline, and yourself doing what you do. Thank you. If you ever need volunteers I'd be more than willing to lend a hand. There really are no words for how important your show is.
chris, thanks for your work on this series. the public owes you a debt of gratitude. robin
Parents like me, feel that your doing the best justice there is for our children. People who are against this, put it down, or feel there are no teenagers out there in danger are the ones that we need to watch. I'm all for dateline doing a great job on this and wish you can do more and continue what your doing. Thank you for getting this kind of scum off of the roads and hopefully off of the net away from our kids.
Lets see a 50 year old woman prey on a 10 year old boy so we coulg call her sick. You are being like that show cops where they only showed black men until everyone complaind
Thanks for the continued investigations. It's clear that these people are everywhere and many, many kids are safer because the predators are thinking twice. Beyond the obvious merit of your program, Chris, your dry wit is amusing. Your unrelenting and sarcastic interrogations would be hilarious if not for the sick circumstances in which they occur. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
People who think 7:00 is too early should not watch it or TiVo it. I personally think that 14 or 15 yo kids are mature enough to watch this and especially if they are on the computer they should see the show. They aren't using any foul language and kids need to know what the lingo for these perverts are so they know when it gets out of hand and is inappropiate. Sheltering teens from the truth is when the worst happens to them.
CHris have you thought about doing a program about why these pople act the why do and there behavior?
Chris, these sick people must spend all their time on the net and never watch tv, because this show airs all the time. I have twin daughters and this sickens me. They come up with the lamest excuses when confronted. Please put these crimminals away for life.
