Just a VERY SPOILED little snot. People should just start "igging" (ignoring) her. She's always impressed me as someone who thought her ---- doesn't stink.
Kevin should feel blessed to be away from her. Further, he should press forward to gain custody of those children because she's spending MOST of her life going in and out of rehab.

I think all you who think poor misunderstood Britney is being hounded by media ought to consider HOW she decided to shave her head.  She could have gotten any of her "crew" to go to Walmart and purchase clippers and privately cut her locks off.  Instead she grandstands, and uses the media to gain attention yet again!  And we all fall for it.  Her orchestrated "breakdown" and rehab stunt will help her regain control with custody issues in her divorce.  All her ridiculous behaviour in the past months will be erased and she will be pronounced "clean" and ready to start her life fresh when she comes out.  This girl is no dumb blonde.  She has masterminded her career thus far and will again... and come out of this smelling like a rose.

I am sick and tired of all the news about this entertainer, that entertainer, and another entertainer doing something that it isn't even funny.  I could care less if Britney wants to shave her head or not.  If she had a medical condition where she didn't have any hair, it is one thing, but to just shave it for the fun of it is not news worthy.  Between Britney, Anna Nicole, and James Brown, that seems to be all I see in the paper and on TV.  Don't even bother to put Britney on Dateline as I will not be watching.  Have more important things to do such as giving my opinion on topics such as this.

This just goes to show you that FAME & FORTUNE do not bring happiness. If so, then why are so many people in Hollywood going to 'rehab' all the time, getting divorced, drunk, on drugs, going out with other peoples husbands/wives, etc.

One day, ALL of this will come to an end.  What then?

All the partying, drinking, spending money like it grows on trees....what about all the hungry children in the world, those over in the Sudan and Ethiopeia.

I would not trade the woman I have been married to for the last 35 years for any woman in Hollywood.  My wife has character.  She spent 9 days and nights around the clock with my mother in the hospital as my mother was dying.  Can you see Brittany or Nicole, or ANYONE in Hollywood doing this?

I really feel for Britney! I honestly think that this poor girl needs help.  I do not know everything that is going on with her.  No one knows why she did this and what she is thinking.  WHO ARE WE to Judge?  It is not our place to judge her. I pray for you Britney and your sons.  

I honestly hate how our world puts so much interest in this.  We have troops fighting for everyone's freedom and dying for freedom.  Including my husband who is in Iraq.....please leave all these celbs alone and let them have their freedom.  Instead of critizing them, let them live and do as they please.  There are more important things to worry about then this.

I'm just staggered by the "gasps and giggles"...who is so lacking in compassion that they find these two dreadfully sad stories funny? The death of a woman who clearly was drug addicted, morally wanton and who had such a vacuouse existance , and who lost a child just as she brought another into the world, (who is now just a pawn in a struggle to manipulate her inheritance,) all that is just a tragic story of a life with a very tragic end....The other story, of another drug addicted young mother, who has lost her way in her ambitions and who seems to be unable to recapture her career after giving it up to become a mother...what is funny about that? Both these women say a lot about the loss of morality and virtue...such old fashioned words, but even today they are things that keep life sweet and meaningful for most people. I wish the ghastly gloaters of other's tragedies would learn a little humanity and integrity.

The fact that the majority of these comments criticizes the program’s choice of subject more than the subject herself show how inappropriate it is to give so much airtime to stories like this. And rightly so: it’s just not newsworthy, because it is not a matter that directly affects your audience, does little to inform, and makes pretty shallow entertainment, Goodness knows it doesn’t help Brittany. Like the excessive coverage on Anna Nicole Smith’s death, you not only insult your audience; you deny them access to information that really is of importance to them. Such as: news about the fast-growing campaign to impeach both the president and vice-president. With the new Congress, impeachment is a real possibility for the first time in seven years.
To date, 64 cities and towns and 24 states –nearly half – have introduced bills and legislation calling for the start of impeachment proceedings. Many have already passed them and sent them on to Congress, yet the Democrats have yet to respond. The internet is buzzing with debate. What could be more newsworthy? So why do we not hear more about it?

I think it,s a cry out for help. What kind of help I,m not sure. It could be for parenting,a heavy road schedule,or dealing with her divorce. She's to young to have so many problems,I hope the tabloids leave her alone so she can sit back,clear her mind of all the yuk       she's been through the past few years. Perhaps get back to her Christian roots and ask for help,theirs always someone there with open arms and a heart filled with forgiveness.

In my opinion I think she needs to stop playing games and get the help that she needs and think about her children.  I'm a mother of a five month old and I do not see how women can just get on drugs before or after they have kids it doesnt make any sense and it's just a really stupid thing to do.  I doesnt make your pain go away it causes you more.  First she married Kevin then has two beautiful kids, and now she's having to worry about someone else raising them.  And to me it seems like she can't make up her mind if she wants her kids or not because she keeps checking in and out of rehab.  What kind of mother is that?

Has anyone even remotely considered that Britney may be suffering from post-partum depression. Two babies back to back, a scuzball for a husband, who wouldn't be depressed. She is crying out for help and understanding. Why is it people are always so quick to judge others whom they really know nothing about. Lets send Britney and her family our prayers not snide remarks. She will come to grips with this. She has proven in the past she is a trooper. Sometimes we have to hit the bottom before we can see the light at the top..I also blame the media for making mountains out of mole hills..they blow the unimportant things out of proportion and the really important issues are merely skimmed over. Maybe the media needs to get their priorities straight.

I think with the amount of celeb deaths and issues, we would have learned by now to embrace and try to get help for celebs when they are obviously having issues. She can do what she wants, when she wants, however, her recent behaviour is unchatacteristic. A sign of her possibly having troubles. Britney get some help, please.

This young woman is first, a human being and a child of God just like the rest of us, and then a star.  So big that can you imagine at that age if you're every move was scrutinized, judged?. Knowing that somewhere, at all times in the world there is someone thinking about you. (just take a look at this site for instance). I am not famous, so I can only imagine what Britney is going through under the microscope. Some say that if you are a star, that it is your own choosing and you have to expect and endure all this attention.  If given the chance, how many people would like to be a world wide star? I would gues very many. It was her dream and it came true for her. Perhaps she should be given a break and maybe for those of us who pray, we could do that. I'm not qualified to assess her needs, but it's pretty obvious that she could use some help and not hate.
Maybe Dr. Phil would have some words of wisdom on this?

The story of Britney's downfall is disturbing, but has been covered in too much detail already by the likes of ET, TMZ and Access Hollywood.  Why not cover the pressures of Hollywood?  The artificiality of it?  Mental illness in America?
NBC Dateline continues the trend of reputable media outlets towards dumbing down America.
There are important issues out there.  Education.  The influence of lobbying in Washington (who, when, how much, why). The challenges of immigration from BOTH perspectives.  Urban sprawl.  The Environment.  The influence of Hollywood and fame on youth.
It is embarrassing to watch a news channel that attempts to portray credibility via other programs (Today, NBC Nightly News etc) to blow an hour of prime-time on this.  
You are supposed to be serious journalists.  Leave celebrity watch to the tabloid programs.
