Feb. 10: Dateline reports the latest on Josh Powell

Dateline NBC will report the latest in the story of Susan and Josh Powell.  Earlier this week, Josh Powell and his sons, 7-year-old Charlie and 5-year-old Braden, died Sunday at Josh’s rental home in Graham. Josh was also a person of interest in the 2009 disappearance of his wife, Susan Cox Powell, in Utah, as featured in the previous Dateline report After Midnight:

Keith Morrison reports an update to this unfolding story on Friday, February 12th, at 10pm/9c.

When you go back to talk about Susan disappearance, it was a "cold night in HELL" for her. That night the weatherman delivered warnings of a massive snowstorm and brutal cold - as a matter of fact - it was a record cold night and no one in their right minds would have been out in that weather early in the night, let alone take 2-little boys camping at midnight ... as Josh said he did with his boys.

JOSH used his boys that night to cover his tracks; he used them over the past 2 years to shield himself; and then took them with him into a burning HELL, which is where I hope he has remained.

This story went from a cold night in HELL to burning in HELL. God Bless Charlie + Braden, the Grandparents, Susan's siblings, the Graves family, the social worker who did her BEST, and the police departments who are working hard on limited resources.

May we all jump in and help the police solve this crime once in for all. May we all love and support this family and the social worker.

Feb. 3rd. you aired an episode about a murder committed by a tenant living in a loft. The victim and the convicted tenant lived in the same building. The weapon used to commit the murder was a nine caliber gun. The prosecutor linked the gun to the convicted man when one policemen told him to check the gun case to see if the manufacturer had included a spent shell. Why didn't Dateline check with the manufacturer to see if they do leave a spent bullet in the gun cases. Also why didn't Dateline hire a voice annalist to check the phone recording, something the prosecutor or the defense neglected to do!
